Memorial piece – “Wills, Mum and Teddy” I wa

Memorial piece - “Wills, Mum and Teddy”

I was contacted by the lovely Nicky regarding creating a special piece in memory of her son Wills, her mum and her dog Teddy. Wills had a special connection to 3 Cornish beaches, Gylly, Porthtowan and Castle beach, which this painting contains sand from all three. Nicky wanted to have the rocky part through the sand so we decided to go for Gylly Beach with the rock pools on the side. Their ashes have been spread through both the sand and the under layers of the resin. I always find these pieces so emotional to do, but Nicky’s story was particularly special to me. I can’t thank her enough for entrusting me to create such a special piece of art that she will treasure forever.
