A FEW WORDS
ABOUT ME
AND MY WORK

I’m a self-taught resin artist, based near to the North Cornwall coast. While relatively new to resin, I have always been a very creative soul.

For 11 years I have run my own business making bespoke equine products. I enjoy competing my horses and have a very competitive side: I also love a challenge! Hence why the bigger the art the more I enjoy it!

I have always been very passionate about art and creating things, at school art was my favourite subject, but it was my passion for horses and competition that shaped my career up until recently. Then I found resin art.

From day one I was hooked! I have a very positive outlook on life and am a very passionate, happy person. If it’s something I enjoy, I will give it my all and I’m super excited for the future ahead as an artist and see how far I can push my creative limits.

UNLIKE PAINT
RESIN
IS VERY 3D

All of my work is unique. The resin creates mesmerising pigment clashes when colours collide. Clients often say they spend hours looking at all the little tiny details when their paintings arrive.

With resin, you can’t physically recreate details so you can rest assured that your painting is a one of a kind piece of art. Most of my paintings are multi layered which is how I achieve such intricate details.

Our boards are made on-site and they are built on a cradled lightweight premium quality plywood board. You’d be surprised when you pick one up: they aren’t actually much heavier than a standard canvas! This means that you hang them as you would a standard canvas and the resin creates a glass-like glass so eliminates any need for framing.

When it comes to commission work, the world is your oyster. As previously mentioned, I thrive on a challenge, so size / colour / texture… there really are no limits!

I can embellish your painting with many different textures, crushed glass, semi precious stones, mirrors, sand, rocks to name but a few. Colour-wise, I carry a huge variety of different pigments. Shimmery pigments can be combined with straight colours to create beautiful details; glitters can also add that extra dimension and ‘wow factor’. I am also happy to take on furniture projects along with worktops and island units.

If you are interested in a commission, please do not hesitate to contact me and I’ll be more than happy discuss ideas and create you something unique for your home.

REVIEWS OF MY WORK

  • positive review  I purchased a piece Katey’s art work for a Christmas present, in the photo it looked stunning, how ever when it arrived and was opened, it was mind blowing ! Attention to detail is amazing and the colours, just perfect and just enough sparkle to set it off. It now has pride of place in my daughters house.

We would highly recommend Katy, she’s very professional and her work is amazing. We are already thinking about our next purchase/commission ❤️

  • positive review  I bought a beach themed piece of resin art for a family members birthday recently and they loved it. Resin.k8 was fantastic from start to finish, sending me extra photos and a video of the piece of art I was interested in buying. It arrived very well packaged too. I’m now interested in buying another piece of art. “Thank you so much”
